When asked "What is the greatest commandment?", Jesus answered, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."  (Matthew 22:36-40)

At St. Philip, we live out our call to love God and to love our nieghbor through a variety of service areas from feeding the hungry to helping with Habitat.

Thanks to the 11 youth and 7 adults who helped with the Habitat build!

SHARE

What is SHARE?

SHARE is a program which provides food at a minimum cost to all people who want to stretch their food dollars.

What are the requirements to participate?

  • You must like to eat!  There are no restrictions.  SHARE is open to everyone.
  • You are asked to volunteer two hours per month in your community.  This can be any kind of volunteer work, such as  Church, checking on a friend or neighbor, cooking a meal for a shut-in, or volunteer work in your community, such as Meals on Wheels, Red Cross, Juvenile Diabetes, American Cancer Society, etc.  However; if you cannot volunteer this will not keep you from being able to participate.

How do you participate?

  • You select the package(s) you wish to purchase from the SHARE newspaper and place your order with your host site contact person. At the time you order pay in cash, check or food stamps.  You are under no obligation to participate each month.    Orders are then available for pick-up around 10:30 am on the designated delivery date.  (Usually the third or fourth  Saturday of the month).  You are under no obligation to participate each month

Who do I contact if I want to participate?
